Wonderful food, attentive service, a place full of warmth and friendly atmosphere

Great home made bread and reasonable pizza. The pizza dough could be thicker. Wild Arugula and dry tomato are excellent. The juices come with lots of water.

I loved it. The food is great, the price is fair and the ambiance is very cozy.

I have been coming to Luigi's for around 20 years and have never left dissatisfied. It's the most reliable moderate budget restaurant in Rio. Excellent Italian restaurant!

It is a good restaurant indeed. But there are other better Italian houses in town, the price of some dishes are above average. There were no strawberry drinks like caipisake.

I was at Luigi on Saturday, 01/02/2020.We ate a Parma risotto and a Bolognese lasagna. Creme brulee dessert and two bottles of water. We pay around $ 150.00. We found it expensive for the portions presented. The risotto was very dry, and the lasagna very small.The creme brulee was tasty. We met the house of other visitors and found that it does not maintain the standard of before.The walls of the second room on the first floor were patched with cement, there was a half full wall with cement. I thought it was horrible, because it is a restaurant. Where food is handled.I commented to an attendant, who explained to me, that there was no time for the wall to dry and be painted. I said q then the room should not be used, because it makes a bad impression on the clientele.Thanks.

A typical Italian canteen, with a welcoming atmosphere like very few in the South Zone of Rio. The menu is varied, with traditional Italian dishes and some other distinguished ones, without being too exotic. The quality is very good. The portions are generous, but we don't risk sharing. The price is reasonable.

The service leaves something to be desired and some prices are alty. The food is good.

You can take a stroll in São Salvador Square, the square that has the most charming 24-hour life of Rio de Janeiro and then eat a self-made pasta at Luigi's. The place is cozy and delicious dishes. I am currently delighted with the spinach ricotta in 4 cheese cheeses. I consider best restaurant around the square. It is not big and because it is very popular, it fills up fast on Sundays, when there is the famous handicraft fair in the square, with the right chorinho.

The service took a while to arrive and not all waiters are friendly. For the value of the dishes, the service should be better. But the food is good.

TUESDAY NIGHT. Excellent choice of traditional Italian restaurant in the region. Very special foods, with good value for money. Good wine list. It has bathrooms. It has no parking. The service needs to improve a lot. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable.

Luigi's served up the best meal I had during a 2 day stop over in Rio de Janeiro! All the food was amazing, from salads to pizza and pasta to dessert. They also had a great wine and local craft beer selection in bottles.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, there was a waiting line but it was VERY WORTH it, I ordered the gorgonzola gnocchi with spinach and it was DELICIOUS, with a taste of wanting more. It was an excellent experience!

Pizza is good for Italian standards. I also enjoy "eggplant parmigiana" . You can find there a semi-artesanal beer ("Noi") that is quite good.

Excellent food and service!

At the end of dinner appeared on the wall nothing less than a Cockroach! I left my husband paying the bill and ran away! The food was good but not worth the scare!

We arrived when the restaurant was already full for lunch. There was only one table available outside, and it was very hot. But soon he released a table inside with air conditioning and we were able to change. At the height of lunch, the service took a little longer than expected, even with the house full. The food was excellent, just compliments of everyone from my table. The portion of the pasta dishes is average. If you are hungry worth asking for an entree, which should also help to pass the time to serve the entree. And that's also why instead of $$ I would rate this restaurant as $$$, since a good meal would even need an entrance and a plate, which already raises the price.

Italian food like the traditional one found in Italy. Pizzas are not the best you can find in Rio. Good offer of wines. Great service. Intimistic space for dates. Not easy to park - small street and no vallet service.
